Jenn and Tom toyed with the idea of becoming proud homeowners on and off during the past few years while they were cooped up in their 399 square foot apartment. However, every time they stuck their toes in the water they were overwhelmed by the both the enormous cost of housing and the lack of thoughtfulness or flair in the spaces they toured. One day while on the campaign trail, Tommy noticed the architecturally unique apartment complex called Longwood Towers. Perched on a hill overlooking the Emerald Necklace park, the three towers consist of many windows and a brick facade complimented by turrets, cupolas, gargoyles, and the occasional griffin. Tom mentioned these features to Jenny one day in passing and they rode by several times while out bicycling to admire them. They didn't give much thought to living in Longwood Towers until they found out about its conversion to condominiums. One of them suggested they have a look. Neither remembers precisely who brought it up although Tom claims that he stalled because he knew that Jenn would force the purchase. This fact is still heavily debated today in many circles, both social and intellectual. Needless to say, they did wander over on a Saturday morning to an open house and were able to view several different units. The rest of the process moved so fast that it's all a blur. Jenn and Tom moved into Longwood Towers in the beginning of December 2006 and have been there ever since.
